Rain Rain Go Away

There are those shoots, and then... "there are those shoots," that you are so excited about and cannot wait to do, and this was one of them.  The day started with beautiful sunshine and then out of nowhere came thick black clouds, wind that whipped and whirled and thunder that rattled the canyons around us like no other.  I was worried because it was a special day for one very special senior girl, Shelby, coming all the way from Tucson,  (a mere 4 hours away from the ranch) for her senior portraits. I updated her mom, Jill, with hourly forecasts all while secretly praying that God would open the sky's for three hours to make this senior girl's day a magical memory.  When they arrived it was still raining pretty fierce, but I had the faith that it would stop and we would be just fine.

We decided to have a quick girls-only-party with some food, playing with outfits, jewels, shoes, hats and laughter.  At the tail end of our party we noticed the rain stopped and the sun was glistening through the big puffy clouds.  WOW it was truly an amazing sky.  We loaded into the Polaris Ranger and headed out on the ranch to capture some gorgeous portraits with a sweetheart of a girl.

This is how it went...
